No More Jon &Kate Or Their Eight
Jon & Kate Plus 8, which in recent months had become just about as fun as reliving your parents' divorce, will stop filming new episodes next month, according to the New York Post.
After Jon Gosselin, 32, forbade TLC from filming his and 34-year-old estranged wife Kate's eight children for their show, the network will try to squeeze out a couple remaining episodes from existing footage before putting the show to rest, according to sources.
Kate, who's previously said she relies on the show for her income, and who says the kids have been crying since the film crews left, hasn't commented. Neither has Jon, who said he put the kibosh on the show because had an epiphany about the harm the show was causing the family – and not because he'd been axed from a future version of the show to be called Kate Plus 8.
It's not clear whether TLC would restart the show should Jon change his mind about filming the kids.
I wonder how they will make a living. Are they going to have to get real jobs?(gasp) Kate will have to go back to begging for "love offerings" at churches. You know we will have to see them floating dlist celebrity events like all those other former reality show stars.

Mackynzie Renee Duggar
There's doting – and then there's Duggar doting.
Mackynzie Renée Duggar is in for an avalanche of family attention: She's not only the first grandchild in the reality TV clan, but she already has 17 aunts and uncles, plus one more on the way, since her grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are expecting their 19th child in the spring.
Mackynzie was born at the home of her parents, Joshua and Anna, with a midwife and doula attending the birth. "Josh was excited to participate in the birth as well," says a family friend. "They are both so happy."
Josh has been front and center in his wife's first pregnancy – telling her the news that she was pregnant after she was too nervous to look at her own pregnancy test, and reading and singing to his daughter before she was born.
"I ask Anna what she needs," Josh told PEOPLE in July. "I talk to the baby and we involve her in our conversations. When Anna and I are talking to each other, we'll say, 'So, how do you like that, Mackynzie?' "
Although Mackynzie is his first child, Josh knows all about raising babies. He's the oldest child born to the Tonitown, Ark.-based Jim Bob and Michelle, who also are the biological parents of twins Jana and John-David, 19; Jill, 18; Jessa, 16; Jinger, 15; Joseph, 14; Josiah, 13; Joy-Anna, 11; twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, 10; Jason, 9; James, 8; Justin, 6; Jackson, 5; Johanna, 3; Jennifer, 2 and Jordyn-Grace, 9 months.
The newest Duggar's name came from a combination Josh's cousin's name (Mackynzie) and Anna's middle name (Renée), but the couple hasn't completely committed to "M" being the letter to begin all their children's names. The Duggars famously have chosen "J" names for all their children.
Mackynzie Duggar's birth will be featured on TLC's 18 Kids and Counting special First Grandduggar, airing Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m.

Jon Gosselin Makes Deal To Film Twins' Birthday

Jon Gosselin has spent much of the time since he was "fired" from Jon&Kate Plus 8 screaming that he doesn't want his children to be on television anymore. So what did he go out and do...made a side deal to film the twins' birthday celebration with him.
An intrepid TMZ reporter called the Cupcake Cafe in NYC. The owner told us she got several calls from "a person from"Entertainment Something," ordering the cake and asking permission to shoot inside the bakery when Jon came a callin'.
When Jon arrived at the shop he had his eye on the cupcakes -- thus the name, Cupcake Cafe. Jon was surprised to learn the person from "Entertainment Something" had already ordered a cake. The owner thinks Jon paid cash, but that begs the question -- did "Entertainment Something" ultimately foot the $94.00 bill?
We checked TV Guide but no "Entertainment Something" is listed. So we took a shot in the dark and contacted "Entertainment Tonight." The rep said her show absolutely did not pay for Jon's cake.
But when Jon got the cake, an entertainment show was inside the shop shooting the "action." We do not know if the crew from "Entertainment Something" was inside the store, but "Entertainment Tonight" was.
Maybe Jon should have ordered the cake himself because they misspelled Mady's name. Or maybe he's so dumb that he doesn't know that it isn't spelled, "Maddy."

Jon Gosselin Is A Thief
According to Radar Online, Jon cleared out the couple's joint bank account, leaving his estranged wife with just $1,000. (Kate is stupid. Didn't she think to remove his name from the account. I hope she has some money stashed somewhere. Didn't her mother tell her to keep a little secret money on the side, just in case this very situation happens.) Another account, set up for the Gosselin children, was untouched, Radar reports.
A source familiar with the situation confirmed the details of the report to PEOPLE, and said Kate plans to take legal action.
When initially reached for comment, a rep for Jon was unaware of the situation and had no comment.
The allegation against Jon caps an intensely bitter week between the couple, during which their TLC series Jon & Kate Plus Eight suspended production. The move followed the network's announcement on Sept. 29 that Jon was being dropped from the show, and him saying he wanted stop the show because it was damaging his children.
Speaking to CNN interviewer Larry King on Oct. 1, Jon, 32, said he last spoke to Kate "3½ weeks ago," and that she wants to keep the show going "for financial reasons.”
Asked by King how much he made from the series last year, Jon replied $1 million before taxes, $500,000 after.
Jon also told King that he had experienced an "epiphany" that the series was no longer in his children’s best interest. (Isn't it amazing that he didn't have this "epiphany" until after TLC fired him. If the show was still Jon & Kate plus 8 he would be singing a different tune.)
Rebutting Jon's claim about their kids, Kate, 34, issued a statement on Oct. 1 saying, "Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children and was taping on Friday with the kids."
Although Jon has said he would like to put the brakes on the divorce, Kate's attorney, Mark Momjian, said on Larry King Live that the divorce case would not be delayed. "It's going to go forward."

Jon & Kate Plus 8 (Minus the Douchebag)
In a stunning announcement, TLC said Tuesday morning that as of Nov. 2 Jon Gosselin would no longer appear on the popular reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8 — and the program would undergo a name change, to simply Kate Plus 8.
“Given Jon’s recent antics, there was no way the show could continue to portray him as a doting Dad, not while all this other crap was going on,” a source close to Jon Gosselin tells PEOPLE.
“Jon will still be seen on the show from time to time,” the source adds.
The series first debuted on April 16, 2007, and experienced a ratings spike once the Gosselin marriage became troubled earlier this year. This past season the couple announced they would divorce.
The fifth season premiere attracted a record 9.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched show of that evening including those on broadcast TV.
But after a six-week hiatus from new episodes, only 4.2 million viewers tuned in to see Jon & Kate on Aug. 3, and only 1.7 million reportedly watched last Monday.
Kate Gosselin recently completed a stint as a guest host of The View, sitting in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck during her maternity leave.
Gosselin has also reportedly taped a pilot for a talk show costarring Food Network star Paula Deen.sourceWednesday, September 9, 2009
Jon Gosselin Needs To Shut Up

Jon Gosselin needs to sit down and shut up. We all know that Kate is a media hungry bitch, he doesn't need to go on television and say it. These interviews will be around forever, and someday one of those kids will track them down. Everyone thinks he's a douchebag because he's acting like a frat boy instead of a dad. You do that kind of crap in private.
More bombshells from Jon Gosselin.
On Tuesday's ABC special Primetime: Family Secrets, the father of eight, 32, says estranged wife Kate, 34, would only agree to one kind of therapy: With celebrity Dr. Phil.
"I was very hesitant," Jon says. "I was like, 'What the heck is this?'"
Jon says the session with Dr. Phil was more about fixing the image of their hit TLC show than their broken marriage.
"We talked about the brand and corporate things and making the brand work," he says. "I felt it was weird. I was like, 'Why am I here? I could be snowboarding.' It wasn't helping."
In a statement to ABC News, Dr. Phil said, "I respect the Gosselins' privacy, I have no comment on their marriage."
Jon previously admitted in the Primetime interview that Kate refused to go to any other kind of therapy to make their marriage work.
"I have a $22,000 therapy bill," he says. "I mean, I tried to have marriage counseling. I did it myself. She refused to go."

Jon &Kate Show On Hiatus

Production has been halted on Jon & Kate Plus 8 following the Gosselins' Monday revelation they're splitting up, the network has announced.
TLC says next Monday's episode will feature a clip package with some new footage, but the next all-new episode won't air until August 3, the Los Angeles Times reports. The Times says the decision came from the network -- not the family. (Because Jon and Kate are all about the money. They would willing throw their children's well-being under the bus for a few extra dollars.)
Only six episodes of the 40-episode season have aired. Through tears on Monday's show, Kate declared "the show must go on!"
Jon & Kate Plus 8 has become TLC's highest-rated show. Its May premiere drew in 9.8-million viewers, a record for the network. (And ratings quickly fell because nobody wanted to watch the Jon and Kate that they have become.)
The Times says TLC does not have enough footage to put together new episodes because of the Gosselins' marital turmoil.
Episodes that were televised this season were often shot last-minute and even completed on the day of airing. And here is the rest of it.

What Are Jon & Kate Thinking

If you had any faith that Jon and Kate Gosselin had their children's best interest at heart, throw it out the window. Despite the fact that their marriage is in the process of being dissolved, they are going to continue doing the show. Last night they announced that they would be separating, but would continue to film with the kids. They each will do separate activities. I wonder if they told the children about the divorce before they filmed the special.
Those poor children will be able to watch their family fall apart forever. Because the camera crews will be there to film every second of it. Haven't Jon and Kate made enough money to go away and allow their kids some privacy at this devastating time? I guess not. When they are adults the children will probably all say that they would have rather of had an intact family instead of all the freebies and perks of fame. I can't wait until Mady is old enough to write a tell-all book.
So shame on their parents, especially Jon who wanted more of a private life. Now that he has escaped out from under Kate's thumb he is singing a different tune. He will still be on our television screens every week. Jon has become a douche bag going through an early midlife crisis. He is driving a convertible built for two, chasing girls a decade younger, and moving to the big city.
Kate issued the following statement: ”Over the course of this weekend, Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children. While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children.”
Let's go over what Jon did over the weekend. He was apartment shopping and spent Father's Day with the kids. Kate was out to protect her money is what the statement translates to. And TLC was hyping the announcement since Friday. So somebody is lying when they decided to file for divorce.
This marriage was probably doomed to fail the whole time. Jon seems like he would have been happy with just the twins, but Kate had to keep going for fertility treatment. And Kate spent a lot of her time treating Jon like he was her ninth child. If there hadn't been the pressure from having too much money, it would have collapsed under the weight of not having enough. But it so sad that it will be on television for the whole world to see. And even worse that it will be there for the Gosselin children to see in the future. Sometimes the fame just isn't worth the cost.
Jon & Kate Gosselin File For Divorce!
After months of speculation, the 10-year marriage of Jon & Kate Plus Eight's stars Kate and Jon Gosselin appears to be coming to an end, a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE.
Documents to initiate a legal split were filed at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, Pa., Monday afternoon.
Fans who have watched the couple's popular TLC show – or read the voluminous coverage of the Gosselin marriage in the press – will hardly be surprised: The duo had long maintained a tense relationship, with Jon recently telling PEOPLE he wanted a less high-profile life, while Kate appeared to remain committed to their TV career.
In February, photos surfaced of Jon in the company of young women during a solo visit to see his mother, who was recuperating from surgery, in Huntingdon, Pa. The couple quickly attempted to quash rumors of problems. But in May, the scandal erupted again when 23-year-old Deanna Hummel was photographed driving Jon's car home from a bar late at night.
When the of the Gosselins' show premiered May 25, the couple admitted to having problems and not knowing where their relationship was headed. "Parents of multiples have triple the divorce rate," Kate said through tears. "I was thinking we were going to beat that. I don't know if I can say that anymore."
TLC promotions of the show are promising a major announcement about the family in Monday night's episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight.

Kate and Jon The Announcement

In a new teaser video from Monday’s special hour-long episode of John & Kate Plus Eight, a teary Kate Gosselin says, “We haven’t really known where we were going but we’ve been dealing with this a long time.”
She can only be referring to the couple’s marital problems, which she and Jon addressed in the season 5 premiere of their show. (What is TLC going to do if they file for divorce? They signed on for a 40 episode season. And it will be too heartbreaking to watch those eight little kids going back and forth between their parents.)
“It just got worse and worse and worse,” Jon said, “And with all the tabloids and all that, it just made it even worse.”
A promo for the show, which aired Wednesday, promised that the couple, who’ve been married for 10 years, will make an announcement.
“People think I’ve changed,” Jon says in the new teaser. “And I have changed. I’m now the person I know I am.” (I think that Jon has changed less than Kate has. He is still the same lazy slacker he was in the beginning. Kate has become a some kind of greedy witch. She seems to think that she is some Hollywood starlet instead of a Pennsylvania housewife. She has turned into one of the legions of orange women, that fake tan is frightful.)
“We can’t go back now. We can only go forward and that’s what we’re going to do,” Kate says. “And we’re going to learn a lot going forward and I know that we’ll all come out of this on the other side, hopefully stronger, better wiser.” (I wonder who wrote that drivel. It is like they are talking in circles.)

Jon & Kate's Big Announcement

There will be a big announcement on Jon & Kate plus 8 on Monday. Am I the only one who thinks it will be a divorce announcement, or at least a separation. Because Jon was seen looking at a 1bedroom, 700 sq ft apartment in New York City. Has this guy forgotten that he has eight kids. Where does he intend for them to sleep on his days? Stacked in the bathtub.
And if I were Jon I would seek custody and get my babies off the tv. There are photos in the press of her spanking Leah. No court will overlook that. Maybe, her taking a swing or two at Mady (can't wait to read her tell-all book we she grows up), but not any of the others.

The Old Kate Is Back

Kate Gosselin was seen yesterday actually playing with her children yesterday. Without makeup and that awful hair, and in sweats. She looked like a less frumpy version of her old self. Or maybe TLC is just trying to rehabilitate her image, and it's all for an episode of the show. More pictures below.

Jon & Kate's Rating Plunge

Monday night's episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 shed more than one million viewers from the previous week's audience. The most recent show, which included a visit from the stars of TLC's American Chopper, brought in only 2.9 million viewers.
The previous episode, which aired on June 8, had 4.3 million viewers.
Both of these episodes are drastically down from the TLC reality show's premiere on May 25, which brought in 9.8 million viewers.
The first episode of the fifth season was fueled by ongoing reports of the couple's marital difficulties, which helped make it the series' most watched show of all time -- and it easily beat such highly anticipated network offerings as ABC's Lost season finale.
None of the recent episodes -- including June 1's back-to-back shows, which had 5.5 million and 6 million viewers respectively -- address the controversy currently surrounding the pair.
Nobody wants to watch these two pretend that nothing is wrong. We will all watch their marriage fall apart, because anybody could have seen that coming with the way that Kate treats Jon. But the show is nothing but a farce. Jon is never home unless the cameras are there. It is time for this show to end.

Jon Gosselin Spends Anniversery Away From Wife
Jon and Kate Gosselin spent their tenth anniversary separated by 150 miles. While Kate spent the day with their eight children at home, Jon spent it with a male friend in West Nyack, N.Y. What couple willingly does that? Ten years is a milestone these days, even couples who hate each other spend their 10th anniversary together.
He did spend a lot of time on the phone with his kids according to the waiter at the restaurant where they ate. (I hate people who go out to eat and then spend their time on the phone chatting away.)
"Jon was on the phone most of the time and was definitely talking to his kids," says the waiter.
And a Brooks Brothers employee added, "He didn't look very happy. It looked like he just wanted to be left alone."
He went home on Monday. The cameras were coming back to film is my guess.

Gosselins Accused Of Animal Abuse

Already in the national spotlight for his troubled marriage, Jon Gosselin is facing yet another controversy: allegations of animal abuse.
The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star told PEOPLE recently that his German Shepherd pups, Shoka and Nala, are often mishandled by his young children. "Those kids beat them up, climb on them, pull their tails, bite at them, drag them around and everything you can imagine not to do to an animal, they've done," he said. (It sounds like a dad exaggerating how rough the kids are with the dogs.)
It wasn't long before the Humane Society of Berks County, Pa., where the Gosselins live, received about a dozen complaints from animal activists around the country, prompting Gosselin to release a statement Friday to the organization about the care of his animals. (I think that some people have a little too much free time on their hands. And Jon and Kate are going to protect the dogs, they are an essential part of their happy family image. They look so cute taking part in those oh so fake family moments.)
"I'd like to set the record straight," he said. "We understand the responsibilities of being good dog owners. Whenever my kids are with Shoka and Nala, everyone is carefully supervised to ensure that no one – dog or child – is injured. Shoka and Nala are loyal companions who we consider members of our family. We would never do anything to hurt them, and treat them with the respect and love that they deserve."
Karel I. Minor, executive director of the Humane Society of Berks County, confirmed to the local Reading Eagle newspaper that Shoka and Nala are up-to-date on their vaccinations and registered in the Gosselins' township. "We have no credible reason to believe in way that there is cruelty going on," he shared, adding that representatives from the Humane Society did not conduct a visit to the family’s home.

Jon Gosselin Claims That His Children Aren't Exploited
Jon Gosselin is trying to claim that his children are not exploited. When asked by People magazine if they were exploited he replied, "Exploited?," asks Jon. "I don't even want to use that word, because I think it's ridiculous," he says heatedly. Jon insists his children's happiness will remain his focus – even if keeping them happy means quitting the show.
He isn't quitting the show anytime soon, TLC has just signed them up for a 40 episode season at $50-75,000 an episode. If that isn't exploitation what is. The Gosselin's wouldn't have that show if it weren't for his kids. Without the children Jon and Kate aren't interesting.
But maybe TLC inked the deal a wee bit too soon. The show had half as many viewers for the second episode than it did for the season premiere.
More pictures below.

Pot Meet Kettle
Nadya Suleman is trying to act like the deal she just inked isn't a for a reality show. She is busy pretending that the series will be more cerebral, like a documentary. She even said that she doesn't want to exploit her children like Jon and Kate Gosselin. Well, she wouldn't have a television show without her kids.
Suleman also set up trust funds for her children. Each of her children will have 15% of their earnings deposited into a trust. But before you think she is trying to do the right thing for her children you should know that it is required by the State of California to protect child performers. And the kids will be earning the money by appearing on camera.

Kate Gosselin On Yet Another Vacation

Kate Gosselin took the children on yet another vacation. I'm quite sure it was some freebie arranged by producers in exchange for a little publicity. The family is at Bald Head Island in North Carolina. Well, the family excluding Jon. Because as we all know he is busy starting a new life. He only appears on camera long enough to garner a paycheck so that he doesn't have to get a real job.
But don't worry Kate's bodyguards were there, including Steve Neild (whom I have affectionately started calling the kids' new daddy), to lend a hand. That's what I call realism. Don't most American families take four or five vacations a year, assisted by a retinue of assistants, nannies, and bodyguards.
And if Jon wants the show to stop why doesn't he just pull the plug. He is the father to those kids and could ask a court to prevent them from appearing on camera. I think that it isn't that Jon just wants out of the show, I think he is tired of being a grown-up responsible for eight kids. Jon is just going through an early mid-life crisis and wants to hang out in bars with 20-year-old girls. His family was on a beach vacation and he was in Jersey spending $2000 on clothes at Barney COOP, with a twenty-something woman and her chaperon, an older woman.
And when is Kate going to start dressing those kids in different outfits. It's cute on occasion, but it is time for them to develop a sense of self. More pictures below.
