Rielle Hunter Speaks (Even Though She Should Have Kept Her Mouth Shut)
Rielle Hunter has given a tell-all interview to GQ Magazine. She was able to go to GQ instead of a grocery checkout tabloid because she was smart enough to have sex with a presidental contender instead of some d-lister. And she is guilty of giving too much information. Someone should tell this woman that no matter what she thinks she is a marriage wrecking tramp. She would be nothing but a notch in John Edwards' belt if she hadn't gotten pregnant.
She gives all the details of her affair with John Edwards, and even goes so far as to pretend that she didn't know who he was. No excuse! Once he told her his name, she knew he was married.
I think Rielle still thinks she is going to end up with John in the end. But John Edwards isn't stupid, he knows that if he wants any type of political or legal career that he needs to find someone else. Because she has made him a joke.
And if the two aren't together by the end of the year, I fully expect her to write her own tell-all book. Here is the link to GQ's whole sorrid interview. (And just don't you just love how she tries to be sexy yet classy in her white shirt and pearls.)

John Edwards Finally Admits Paternity
John Edwards has finally stopped being shady and admitted her fathered Frances Quinn, the daughter of his former mistress Rielle Hunter. Instead of doing the correct thing and just admitting the truth when the whole sorted tale first came out, he lied. In a decade or so little Frances is going to have to read all his denials and it will probably just lead to problems. Isn't it bad enough that she will have to grow up with the knowledge that she was the child of an affair.
Edwards said of the whole sorted situation, "To all those I have disappointed and hurt, these words will never be enough, but I am truly sorry," Edwards said in his statement on Thursday.
"I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves," he said of his daughter. "I have been able to spend time with her during the past year and trust that future efforts to show her the love and affection she deserves can be done privately and in peace."
Of course his coming clean may have something to do with the fact that he may be facing a federal grand jury investigation into whether or not he gave Rielle Hunter hush money out of campaign funds. The information about the baby's paternity would have probably been leaked during that process.
And it doesn't help that with every passing day Frances looks more like John.

Andrew Young Saying That John Edwards Father Of That Outside Baby
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — A man who once claimed he fathered the child of John Edwards' mistress now says in a book proposal that the former presidential candidate is the baby's father.
The New York Times reported Saturday that political donors made payments to the woman. The claims are all in a book proposal by former Edwards aide Andrew Young, who says he facilitated the affair between Edwards and Rielle Hunter.
The newspaper reports Young wrote that Edwards told Hunter they would marry after Edwards' wife died. His wife, Elizabeth, has cancer.
Edwards has denied he fathered the child. He has acknowledged that federal investigators are looking into his campaign funds.
Lawyers for Young and Hunter did not immediately return messages left Saturday. A spokeswoman for Edwards did not comment.

Jon Edwards To Take Paternity Test

But don't expect the results unless they are negative. And why would he move Rielle Hunter and baby Frances near his home if the chances weren't really good that it was his child.
Amid several unconfirmed reports that her husband, former Sen. John Edwards, is nearing an announcement about the paternity of his former mistress's 18-month-old baby, Elizabeth Edwards says she expects a DNA test will take place – and hopes it can be done quietly.
During a Wednesday night appearance with CNN's Larry King to debate health-care reform, Mrs. Edwards, 60, was asked about DNA testing of Rielle Hunter's baby daughter, Frances.
"My expectation is that, at some point, something happens," she replied. "And I hope for the sake of this child that it happens, you know, in a quiet way."
All's quiet, too, at her house, Edwards said. Despite a supermarket tabloid cover story this week that claims she recently packed her bags in a fit of rage over her husband's alleged decision to move Hunter and the child into a home near his North Carolina beach house, Elizabeth Edwards, mother to two school-aged children, told King: "Things are going fine. We're getting the children ready for a new school year. Everything seems to be going pretty smoothly at my house."
As for her health, Mrs. Edwards, who was diagnosed in early 2007 with incurable Stage 4 breast cancer, reports: "The numbers don't look that optimistic, but I feel good. And I've had recent tests that show me to be in pretty good health, all things considered."
And, she added, "I'm still out here fighting."

Governor Schwarzenegger Cutting Funding To Domestic Violence Shelters
First he tried to cut all the funding for Poison Control and now Governor Schwarzenegger is trying to cut out all the funding for domestic violence shelters. This man is going after programs that actually save the lives of people, and must be stopped. Go here, NOW!!!, to see what you can do to help before some woman dies because she has nowhere to go.
Governor Schwarzenegger line item vetoed the Department of Public Health’s Domestic Violence Program, which provides $20.4 million for 94 domestic violence shelters and centers.
Domestic violence shelters are often the only thing standing between victims and grave physical danger, and California’s communities cannot sustain their loss.
Services provided by these agencies include emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal advocacy, assistance with restraining orders, counseling and other vital support services.
“We are appalled to see the Governor eliminate funding to vital programs that save lives,” said Tara Shabazz, Executive Director of The California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (CPEDV). “State funding to domestic violence programs has been proven to save lives, and also millions of dollars in health care, law enforcement and other social costs. It is fiscally irresponsible to propose such cuts; the Governor is balancing the budget on the backs of our state’s most vulnerable citizens.”
“If the Governor’s budget cuts are allowed to stand, victims will not have a place to turn for help and lives will inevitably be lost.”
I blame this on all of my fellow citizens of California who voted for this idiot because he was the Terminator (and haven't voted since). This should serve as a warning to keep celebrities out of politics.

Sarah Palin Resigning

Sarah Palin is resigning as Governor of Alaska at the end of the month. And she didn't even give the people of the state an explanation. She did give the usual family time as an excuse of sorts though:
"This decision has been in the works for a while. This decision comes after much consideration, prayer and consideration," she said. "Finally, I polled the most important people in my life, my kids, where the count was unanimous. Well, in response to asking, 'Hey, you want me to make a positive difference and fight for all our children's future from outside the governor's office?' It was four yeses and one 'Hell, yeah!" And the hell, yeah sealed it."
But if she isn't holding some kind of office, what are her chances as a candidate in 2010?
"She's looking forward to serving the public outside the governor's chair," he said.
"It's absolutely bizarre, and I think it eliminates her from serious consideration for the presidency in 2012," political analyst Larry Sabato said. I would dare to say that she was never seriously in the running. There are just too many skeletons in that closet. Everyone would wonder how she could run the country when she couldn't even run her own family.
I bet you anything that she is just ditching the state because she has a better offer to do television. Expect Sarah Palin the talking head within the next few weeks. She will probably make the run, but the Republicans will choose somebody else in the end.
